ABSTRACT

This guide introduces acmemail, a lightweight, flexible mail client for Plan 9.

Setting up email

To read/send email on Plan 9:

See acmemail(1) , plumber(4) , and upasfs(4)

; plumber ; upas/fs ; acme 

Then in the window tag, type Mail (capital M) and middle-click the word to execute it. If you are running 9front locally, you can reduce latency by using rimport instead of rcpu:

; server=cloud9p.org
; rimport server /net
; rimport server /mail
; rimport server /sys/
; plumber; upas/fs; acme

Remember to replace cloud9p.org with your actual server.
