My experience with latex monthly landscape calendars has been variable, over the years.  I am printing on letterpaper.  Different printers may print differently.  One size does not seem to fit all: each time I print some calendars, I must make adjustments to the LaTeX code.  

For November 2014---a month requiring six rows---the following was working for me, on a Brother Laser Printer.   I copy over a few lines from the latex code:
